Apps from Both Sides Now
Writing for both the App Market and the Dev Center meant keeping two very different user persona's in mind at all times, and talking to each in their own dialect while maintaining a consistent Wix voice throughout.
The Challenge
Every app in the App Market has a listing page telling users about the app. This listing is set up by the app developer in the Dev Center. The information the developer inputs there is the same as what's displayed in the listing, but the users interacting with it have very different goals.
The Solution
Developers and app users have different goals when they interact with the information in question. Using different UI, different vocabulary and different perspective made sure that each user knew what they needed to know and could achieve their goal.
The Impact
Changing the terminology, the UI and the perspective the content was written from provided a smooth experience for both developers and site builders. Maintaining the Wix tone - straightforward, professional and conversational - throughout provides a coherent experience across the Wix ecosystem.
